At Vita, we specialise in Plantation shutters, all sourced through Custom West, the leading supplier of shutters to accredited specialist UK dealers. Originally designed as an external window covering for hot climates, Plantation shutters are now used internally due to their versatility in light, ventilation and privacy, which is just not possible with curtains or blinds.

 

They can be designed in many different styles and come in a large range of louver sizes, materials and colours. Our best selling and lowest priced shutter is as good as the premium range, with it’s lower price due to the material and finishing used, not the level of quality obtained. The  'Clean Look Frames' allow you to benefit from hidden magnet closure and less light infiltration.

 

Most shutters will fit in windows perfectly, however some windows will have complications - or compromises to be addressed.  These are not always obvious to customers.  We will ensure that any compromise we spot will be brought to your attention, allowing you to make an informed decision.  Often the compromises are small and acceptable to customers.  Where we find large and significant compromises we will usually suggest installing another product.  Shutters are an expensive product, would you be happy to buy them without knowing any perceived or apparent compromise?

 

As with most shutters sold in the UK they are made in China and have a seven to eight week lead time.  It is possible to get them in approximately half this time if we specify they are sent by air freight, however this does have a cost implication.
